An excerpt from Vol 1 follows: "The William “Bill” Vinzant family lived near the Lemon Community in Smith County, Mississippi. William’s early land patents in 1841 were for land two miles southwest of Lemon. Another patent filed at the same time was for eighty acres just off the main street in Raleigh.
